IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
UNDERSTANDING THE EXTRACTION PROCEDURE
Your treatment will be carried out under a Local Anaesthetic (an injection administered into the gum to numb the area). As you will be awake for the procedure, you will be able to drive to and from the clinic, as long as you feel well enough to do so. We do not provide sedation or a General Anaesthetic, should you require this, please cancel your appointment with us and contact your dentist.
UNDERSTANDING THE XRAY/CONSULTATION PROCEDURE
If we have booked you in for an x-ray/consultation appointment before the extraction, it will more than likely mean that we need further information to triage your referral before we can make a decision to extract the tooth/teeth. If we require an additional x-ray, you will be asked to stand in a machine that will rotate around your head to display an image of your full jaw (upper and lower).
MAKE US AWARE OF ANY MEDICATION YOU MAY TAKE
We advise our patients to eat a small meal before their procedure. This should hopefully prevent any side effect from the local anaesthetic, such as: Nausea & Dizzyness. You can also drink liquids as normal.
